In this workshop we will explore health care concerns of gender variant youth, resources for access to these services, current and new treatment options and your primary care doctor’s role in the gender team model. All are encouraged to participate in this open discussion forum.
After 12 years as Assistant Professor at the medical schools of Creighton University and University of Nebraska, Dr. Carol Milazzo moved to a private pediatric practice in the Sacramento, CA area in 1999.
She is currently Vice Chair of the Department of Pediatrics at Sutter Roseville Medical Center and has served over 100 adolescent and young adult transgender patients in the Pacific Northwest region. She is Board Certified in Pediatrics, a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, a member of the World Professional Association for Transgender Health and the International Foundation for Gender Education. Dr. Milazzo has been a speaker and an advocate for transgender health services at local and international health professional conferences.
